Simple question: Would you rather run a Decklink Quad2, Decklink Duo, and Decklink Mini monitor in one machine to get 12 independent inputs, or would you run the Duo in another machine and bring those 4 inputs into the main machine as NDI? Is one better than the other for performance? More Details: We have a brand new PC, X299 motherboard. Lots of RAM, i9. ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077Y5W7QC/ref=detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) We have the Decklink Quad 2 and a Decklink mini Monitor in there, as well as a 1080TI graphics card. We have 15 cameras going into a 20x20 Videohub. We have another PC running with a Decklink Duo. Those 4 inputs are then sent to the main machine through NDI. Right now it seems to work with the 8 Quad2 inputs and 4 NDI. I'm just wondering if I would get better performance by putting the Duo in the main machine and skipping the NDI. You're in a better position to know this than anyone else. You have the gear in your hands.
How's the CPU load? GPU? Network?
Does it seem to struggle under any circumstances?

If you have enough PCI lanes, 2 x Quad2 or 1 Quad2 + Duo2 will run fine.
SDI Capture requires less CPU/GPU than NDI.

Guillaume Thanks! That's what I was looking for / wondering. It seemed ok as is, but I haven't really done a full real world test with replay going, and possibly recording. Just hoping to minimize stress everywhere I can. -Brian

It's indeed better to keep it all in one machine. If you split it, you will get double the latency via NDI because vMix will only sync on the input, not knowing it was already ingested and delayed in the other machine.
