Hi!

We did som testing with the multiviewer output this weekend,
and it seams that the multiviewers output resolution follows the resolution you set for the main production.
Is there any work around for this, so you can have a different resolution for the different outputs?
If you set up the the main production to lets say 720 50P the multiviever output is also set to 720 50P,
the problem here is that the eight smaler input screens i almost useless since the resolution of these smaler windows is so bad.

Hope someone has a solution to this.

Kim

Why not set project to full hd or 4k?. And you can scale each ouputs or recording to desired format.

Hi Jose!

I guess we could do that, but will that not make vMix use a lot of CPU and GPU to upscale all the inputs to 4k 50P?
And then down scale it back to 720 50p for recording and streaming?

Actually a multiview 4k50p is something really expensive. Reallly need 4k?. If you have a powerfull vmix machine you can do that if not maybe 1080p is your best option.
I think gpu is the most important part for this up scale/ down scale.

Not really, I use a 43 inch 4K tv for multiview and it cost $550 to buy last year.

And I use Display fusion https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/
to split the screen to make several custom multi views on the same screen with custom inputs/outputs.

Actually all external multiview 4k50p are expensive. I speak about multiview boxes with 8 hdmi/sdi inputs. not a 4k monitor and a computer. In that case it is “free” with vmix. Only need a good nvidia card and you already have all inputs.
