It would be really great if there is a way to add a marker while we record a broadcast so we can quickly go right back to that one place for the quick segment.

Hi MelissaR and welcome to the Forum.

Have you, before making this Feature Request, looked into the already available features to see if any, or some, of those can be used to do whatever you need?

After all, there is a rich documentation in the Help, Knowledge base and of course this Forum (that can be searched)

an option would be to try Replay.

What if I think it would be fine, is a button to segment or create a new file during the recording. That is, you are recording and CLICK, start a new file, I see it useful for when you record a long or large program but you want it in parts.
I've seen other recorders have it but if vMix had it it would be great.

I can see a use for this, currently I shoot a 4 hour race night, and later have to go back and cut it up to upload specific races to youtube, it would be nice if I can hit a button and it starts a file for that part so when I finish the show, I can just upload the already separated files.

What about just hitting Start/Stop recording to create separate races ?

I probably should have mentioned I also need one continuous record, so this would effectively do that for record 2.

Alternatively, I submitted a request to be able to start/stop rec 2 Independently of Rec 1, much like we recently got for stream control, this would work for that.
