Has anyone come across the following issue.
a. Laptop sending out HDMI to Birddog Studio running latest firmware (2.0 and 2.0.7) b. Birddog NDI to Vmix 21.0.0.57 c. Vmix runs for a bit and then crashes.
After upgrading my birddog studio to the latest 2 versions, I have had crash issues with vMix. After I add it into vMix as a new NDI input, it runs for a few minutes and then vMix crashes.
I have tried it on both a laptop as well as a desktop install of vMix and the same thing happens. Vmix runs perfectly fine up until I add the Birddog. I have other NDI sources running without issue.
My birddog ran fine until this update. Not sure if its a Vmix issue or Birddog.
Any ideas?
Thanks Martin

Hi,
We use the standard official NDI libraries in vMix, so if there is crashing occurring with the Bird Dog then it sounds like there is something not quite right with the NDI video the Bird Dog is sending.
There have been a few of these instances reported with the current 2.x beta firmware, so I would let them know, including what camera model you have so they can test and resolve the bug.
Regards,
Martin vMix

I have a birddog with 2.x and on encoding it crashes the receiving application too. It is a Bird dog problem.

Yes this is a Bird Dog firmware issue as all mine do the same on encoding. They are aware of the issue. If you ever have a NDI issue with vMix its also nice to do the same thing in NewTel Monitor\Studio to see if it's isolated. Bird Dog crashes NewTek as well. However in my research on the matter last week i noticed that vMix uses 3.5 NDI libs only. is that correct? Or is my install not using the 3.7 drivers?

I have the Bird Dog Minis and have VMIX crash issues also. Switched to Epiphan AV.io 4Ks to get through the broadcast.
Will check firmware again, as the recent update from two months ago seemed to help, until last week.
