Hi Martin,
Feedback on the new version:
It seened that the video mode being YUUV would no longer work with FMLE. I had to change to the other mode, I think YBR2. In YUUV the colors were wrong.
I tried recording with Cineform and streaming with FMLE at the same time. Performance is better than before. Preview windows still stutter but program is fine. At about 13min into the recording, it started dropping frames at 30 per second so I stopped it. I have a fast machine with a separate media drive SATA3 so it should beable to keep up.
What do you think?
Tony

I've just posted a fix (vMix 2011 v9b) that fixes the UYVY issue with Flash Media Live Encoder. You can find it on the download page.
Tony, with the 30fps drop was that with an output frame rate of 30fps? (i.e a total frame loss). If so it usually indicates the codec has given up for some reason, I will do some testing to investigate.

Hi Martin,
Thank you for the quick fix!!!
Yes it was dropping all frames when I stopped it. It was set at 30fps and 30 were being dropped per second.
Thanks, Tony

hi martin,
i founded some bugs working with "ntsc 60i or 30p" on loop feature. i tried to play 2 files (mp4 and wmv, 30fps each one) and 2 things happened:
1. mp4 - video plays with no audio after played great on 1st time. 2. wmv - 1st time it plays good but after the video frezes completly. no audio after play 1st time. fps = 5
i experienced that before when i used "pal 50i or 25 fps" and EVR video render, after start external output. it was fixed changing video render to VMR9.
hope it will be fixed... if you need more information please tell me...
regards, melody

Hi Martin,
Just chiming in to affirm Melody's findings. I am getting the exact same behavior here, so this must be a bug.
Thanks, Tony

Hi Tony, Melody,
Could you describe step by step how to re-create the error?
Thanks,

sure, remember that we are working with that settings: - System: "ntsc 60i or 30p" - Video Render: VMR9 OR - System: "pal 50i or 25p" - Video Render: EVR 1. add new input, some video file, 30fps natively (i tried an *.mp4 and "wildlife.wmv". you can find it at "example videos" using windows 7") 2. click "start" external device 3. click "loop" and play the file to the end. 4. take attention on the moment of loop. hope it helps, regards... melody www.espiritosanto.cc

For the wildlive.wmv file could you please check the following:
1. Click i 2. Go to Advanced tab 3. Open the Filters dropdown list and post here a screenshot or listing.
For example on my test machine the following shows up:
Default DirectSound Device 0003 Video Mixing Renderer 9 AC3Filter WM Video Decoder DMO SampleGrabber WM Audio Decoder DMO C:\Users\Public\Videos\Sample Videos\wildlife.wmv
Note that I completed the following tests without issue:
1. NTSC 60i or 30p with VMR9 playing wildlife.wmv in a loop with external output. 2. PAL 50i or 25p with EVR playing wildlife.wmv in a loop with external output.
Please send through the filter list as I suspect a custom decoder is being used.
Regards,
Martin

hi martin, i tested v10 at 2 diferent machines. here are my results: 1. fist machine: core 2 quad 9450, ati radeon hd 4350, 4GB RAM wildlife.wmv worked perfectly but *.mp4 file still working bad at looping time. this only happens when EVR video render is choosed. 2. second machine: core 17 920, geforce 9600gt, 3GB RAM wildlife.wmv worked fine but *.mp4 file still working bad too. now i can`t hear any sound from *.mp4 file and it freezes at looping time. this problem persists using any video render or any system (PAL or NTSC) here goes the *.mp4 file i tried to play in vmix: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7DG3FOCHthks for attention, regards... melody www.espiritosanto.cc

Hi,
Could you post a screenshot of the filter list of the mp4 like you did for the wmv file. The mp4 works fine witht he Windows 7 built in MP4 decoder, so the issue may be with a custom filter you have installed.
Thanks,
Martin vMix
