Hi,
all our vMix inputs have 1080p, the maximum streaming quality supported by our provider (Azure Media Services) is 720p, although they support 1080p input.
Maybe its a philosophical question, as we have enough bandwidth for 1080p input as well enough CPU power to do the downscaling to 720p with vMix:
But from your experience: Is it better to let vMix do the downscaling or the streaming provider in regards of the video quality?
Thanks, Thomas

It is best to do the scaling in vMix. Any scaling done by the provider involves transcoding (re-encoding) which results in reduced quality vs sending them pre-scaled stream directly.
