Hi. I have a 133GB AVI file that was recorded yesterday, I believe using the AVI MagicYUV v1.1 codec in vMix. After the recording was finished we cannot play the file using any software, Handbrake, VLC, Media Player, etc. I tried to install the latest free v1.2r2 of MagicYUV codec. I've read somewhere that sometimes MagicYUV can corrupt files over 100+GB in size, but not sure if that's what's happened here. I loaded the file into UltraEdit to view the raw data. It looks like the first 128KB of data is all zeros. But there are the normal markers of '01wb' and 'MAGY' throughout the file as in a non-corrupt file. So it appears most if not 99.99999% of the data is still there. Has anyone had success with repairing broken MagicYUV AVI files? I tried to update VLC to v3 and Handbrake to the latest version. I suppose another option would be to graft 128KB of header data from a good file into this one to see if anything would be readable. I'm guessing since there's no real header, software doesn't know what it is.

I used videoredo a lot. It has a quickFix function that did amazing things for me.
