Datasource - Dot added to fieldname if Node has more then 10 entries

Out of my last Question I stumbled upon the following curiosity: This happens with at least xml and json, didnt't try other Sources. As soon as the Node in my Sourcefile has more then 10 entries it adds a dot to the field name. firstname1,firstname2,firstname3,... becomes firstname.1, firstname.2,firstname.3,... Is this a Bug or am i missing something? Is there a way to fix this?
