Hi all

I've got an issue with vMix whereby the Zoom UAC-8 will work in vMix for about 5 minutes and then drop off (no audio coming into vMix)

I've checked windows sound settings and disallowed 'exclusive control' and also tried disabling the device altogether, the issue remains the same

Did anyone run into ASIO issues with Win10 LTSB and switch to CBB?

Here is my computer build:

Do you get the same error message if you set the Zoom UAC-8 as the Default audio device?

Good idea, as per your suggestion; I've set all defaults (default and defaults communications) for both playback and mic to the Zoom.

It lasted in vMix about 1 minute before the inputs dropped off again.

Failed state - no input audio at all.

If I restart vMix this is it working (at-least initially)

Have you tried the ASIO4ALL driver?

I agree, I use a Zoom-R16 and had so many issues until I went for ASIO4ALL. This also looks pretty classic of the Zoom Drivers if the USB link goes down. This could be caused by the USB link itself going into a power saving state. Probably worth checking.

thanks both, have just checked power settings and USB power management was on. will test again and see if this is the culprit.

next up will be trying ASIO4ALL and if thats a no go, I think I'll move to CBB from LTSB

Crazy as it seems, the USB power management seems to have been the culprit!

thankyou all for your input :)
