You can create a template in Photoshop or another program and safe it as a png file.

khaldoon.media wrote:You mean make three png files ? one for each part of the screen ? cause I have three sources Thank you You probably only need one. The middle section would be masked using an image, and overlay the left/right sections. For example, here's something I built in 2 minutes using one mask image and three IP cameras. Only the middle stream has the mask applied.

Any idea how the transition to and from the split screen can be done so that the two side splits merge from the two sides? Tried multiple variations of merge and cut but it doesnt achieve what I have in mind.

Maybe next time please post this as a new item instead of hacking this one as it is not the same subject! search the forum for - squeeze back - merge - Animated PiP its possible as a variation of the above search results (click image to play) shutter.gif (611kb) downloaded 49 time(s).

Hi doggy. Thanks a lot for the response. I didnt mean to hijack but the particular use case is pretty much the same so I assumed its best to use this thread for others benefit as well. My apologies on that. What I am trying to achieve is as in this link: Its pretty much what khaldoon.media has posted on the first post. I did go through the forum and checked the Vmix channel for the merge tutorials as well. I tried using your merge technique and guidelines posted on another topic as well but I cant seem to get the two sides to slide away properly. Appreciate any support in advance. first the question was to just have 3 diagonal parts which was solved using masks, UV maps or luma keying. Then it was split screens animation which was solved using merge Now one is looking to be it something else again: a diagonal 3 way split screen animated.
Sure they are "the same"
What do you mean by "cant seem to get the two sides to slide away properly" ?
Anyway to have an "animated" transition achieved with a merge the key is to have both inputs to have exactly the same layers where the content of one input is just being re positioned, cropped or whatever compared to the other to merge from/to in my example there are 3 layers ! the studio image and 2 times the list image. the list is once cropped to the left and once to the right so it looks like 1 with the studio behind it . the other input is a copy of the first one but the 2 half list ones are moved out of view left and right in this case but are still there !
SO maybe just combine parts of the first solution with the second solution ? there are enough layers per input to play with
