Hi folks!

On a 1080i production how do you set FFMPEG to stream over Youtube?

On my last live production some edges were not so "sharp".

If I switch both system and cameras to 1080-50p and stream @ 1080-50p the edges are sharp

Ideas?

A 1080i production has half the vertical resolution of a 1080p equivalent. You can think of 1080i as being 540p. You can't really overcome that except to down-sample to something lesser, like 720p.

Hi!

if all your cams are set to output 1080i50

- set vMix project to 1080p25. All cams will be deinterlaced
- record 1080p25
- stream 1080p25

if all you cams support 1080p50, you have the choice to go for 1080p50 or 1080p25. However note that 1080p50 requires bandwidth/higher bitrates than 1080p25 and unless you're doing sports or fast action there is no real benefit for 1080p50.

Thanks Guillame, I'm doing fast sport so 1080p50 will help a little.
I've tried last week to set vMix 1080p50 and ingest the cameras at the same settings but the only issue was with instant replay not so smooth.
Could be due to the SSD not fast enough? It is an SATA and not M2...
