It is possible to bring in the chat using the webchat capability and bringing it into vMix via the Browser input function.

You can adjust the opacity of both the background and text of the chat. Further you can scale the chat, not only via the Restream controls, with the vMix controls.

(It should be noted that we've always had no luck getting it to connect to the Periscope chat.)
