Hi all,
we are evaluating the switch from Wirecast to vMix, but are so far confused with the frame rate settings from vMix as Wirecast totally hides that functionality (auto-detects everything).
On one side we select the frame rate per video input, which is fine (e.g. PAL 25p). Then there is the master frame rate on the settings page, which should match the main input video devices and is used as default output for rendering.
But for that there is no PAL 30p for output for live streaming to a RTSP server. Does PAL or NTSC matter at all for output we ingest to an RTSP server? We just would need 30p and define the output as 1080p.
Thanks, Thomas

It is quite simple. If your sources (i.e. cameras) are PAL you set the master frame rate for PAL (25 or 50 fps) if they are NTSC its is 30/60. There is no such thing as PAL30p.
The CDN you stream to will accept the framerate you send and handle any transcoding.
