One laptop - 2 networks?

Is it possible for a single computer to be connected to 2 different networks - one wired ethernet and another wi-fi?
I seem to think no, but I need to be able to network the laptop to other computers using wired gigabit ethernet (for using NDI to capture Powerpoint slides) while simultaneously connecting to a wi-fi IP camera placed remotely (?)
Any ideas anyone?

I do it all the time when there is no wired internet-connection available. Wired network for camera's and NDI, Wi-Fi for connecting to phone to have internet for streaming.

But doesn't attaching the wired ethernet connection on the laptop knock out the wireless connection automatically?

literally asked my guy about that this week and he wasent loving it. I'll come back with a better understanding but it was roughly along the lines of plugging a router with mobile network slot into your switcher that has the network you're operating on
