I am Trying to make a stinger that wipes from Left to right behind a animation logo.
I go to Overlay>Number as stinger 1 Type : Fullscreen Effect : Wipe
I was under the impression that the wipe would effect from Program to preview. But it is effecting the animation itself. I see the animation making getting effected by the wipe.
Just wanting to know if I am doing something wrong.
thanks,
Mike

wipe is a transition effect which will restart a title animation for example a stinger is also a transition effect (image sequences ) with in the "background" a transition between preview and output each transition starts it's own animation you are mixing both see also

@ gianthunk1
If I have understood you correctly, I don't think your effect will work if your stinger does not fill the screen. The stinger transition requires the stinger graphic to go full screen at which point the cut point behind it can take place. If your stinger wipes across the screen (on and off), select your cut point at the frame(s) when your stinger fills the screen, then when it wipes off, the reveal underneath will appear to wipe on (but is actually already full screen).

Ice thanks, I watch the video that @doggy posted before I posted here. I was just misunderstanding the stinger abilities for Vmix. I use other Switchers at work and did not know if Vmix could do the same. Big difference between Vmix and Ross. :) I will just have the animation do something different. Was just putting it though its paces to see what I can do without doing do much scripting. :) Thanks again @IceStream and @doggy starting my own business so trying to stress all my hardware and soft ware to see what can be done.
