I am trying to start a video (with audio) and about 30 seconds in - have a trigger - transition to a camera.

BUT not cut the audio.

The ONLY way I have been able to figure this out - and I am hoping there's a more logical way.

Separate the audio and video.
Input both audio and video separately.
Have the video start the audio
Have the video also start a trigger for a timer
have timer set for the length of time I want the transition to happen
Add trigger to timer -that on completion - go to cam 1.

I have to imaging there's a more streamlined way to do this?

I was looking for a way to trigger the video - to not auto mix the audio - upon transition in. then it could transition to a camera without cutting the audio.
But I don't think there's a trigger for that.

Any suggestions (hopefully without condescension) would be fantastic.

for starters make sure to (un)check the audio follow settings of each input !
Keeping the audio of your video on while cutti ng to other input

But when I do that - the audio doesn't play when I transition into that video.

Or are you saying I should have it ticked off on the camera?

both same settings, audio on of video, audio off from camera, maybe even input of cam with no audio at all: transition between both with audio staying as selected

How does that sound ?

That seems to do it!

It just doesn't seem to like a timer onTransition In trigger - to go to camera.

but at least it's a few steps easier.

Thank you.

Now I just need to figure out 20 other issues! But thank you. :D

I'd just do it in a trigger, (OnTransitionIn, audio auto off). This way the auto audio mixing is present for the transition in, but then once the video is on, you can cut away and the auto audio mixer is off.
thanks 1 user thanked spencerm24 for this useful post.
