May by unusual for the general public.
But - I've come across cases where 3 monitors-projectors (1920x1080) are used in a horizontal stitching 3:1 (5760x1080) by NVidia drivers. In the sum of the number of pixels, this is less than 4K, but 5760 is greater than 4096..
In this case, you had to use the fourth video output with the HDMI-emulator and create a 2x2 matrix (3840x2160). Which is not very convenient (one video output disappears).
May be create some additional resolutions on main list for this cases ?

There are dedicated video wall controllers for this sort of application. It seems unduly complicated to allow arbitrary resolutions in vMix, for such edge cases.

I know. But - with videowall controllers (Matrox, Datapath) i need to create 2x2 matrix (4096x2160). I can't create 3:1/1:3 :(
Ok. - I think that you are basically right - this case may be unusual...
