Hello,

From the first row ("output") of the statistic page, in the video column, it shows "Fullscreen dropped: 9268755 0 97579 (40ms)". The first value keep increasing fast (increase 100 for every 10 seconds). And the third value is also increasing but not fast. Does this mean fullscreen is keep dropping frames? If that is the case, how can I avoid this? I think my computer hardware is fast enough.

CPU: i7-7700
GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
SSD: SAMSUNG 256GB
Input : DecklinkSDI 4K (1920x1080p50)
output : Full screen (1920x1080p50)
vMix version : 21.0.0.41
os : Windows 10

Thanks,

Anson

Checking the manual is ALWAYS a good starting point

Thanks for your reply.

I have checked the manual, but it doesn't mention how to read the output row. The message in the output row is quite different to the input row. With the big value in the message, I think this value is not related to the frame arrival time. I just wonder what those three values mean. Attached is the latest screenshot of the statistic page.

Hi,

The numbers represent dropped frames on the output.
The different numbers represent different points in the vMix chain that they are dropped.

Ultimately though, the reason for high numbers here is usually a refresh rate mismatch with the monitors on the system.
Check in the NVIDIA Control Panel to make sure they all match and that they are all higher than the frame rate, preferably 60hz.

Martin

Hi Martin,

I confirmed that both monitors are at 1920x1080p 50Hz in NVidia setting. Anything else will cause this high frame drop?

Thanks,
Anson

A few other potential causes:

1. vMix master frame rate is set to 60p by mistake in Settings -> Display
2. One of the monitors is faulty and not actually presenting at the full refresh rate.
3. A monitor is connected to the onboard video ports instead of the ones at the back of the graphics card by mistake.
