Almost every broadcast system out there has the names of the cameras in below the image in the multiviewer. vMix places the names on top of the cams.

This is confusing for people who work with other systems and make the switch to vMix. We worked with a director who really had problems with it a few weeks ago :)

It would be nice if the position of the names could be chosen.

Again Ittai, just do your own multiview input just as you like.
It's so easy !

It's not. You could produce a multiview using multi view options, but than you only have 10 overlays.

If you have 8 inputs + program + preview, this is all going to be used, and you have no more overlays left for the names. Ok, probably you could hack something together using multiple overlayed screens, but a simple option: names on top - names at the bottom, would solve this with a click.

if you're just leaving it the sane all day on a seperate monitor and really need (I know it sounds mental) but you could just stick a post it note under each input on the screen

We actually did that one time already :) Used the legacy multiview, and used tape and a marker to name the channels. But it would be easier if there are more options to position those.

+1
Check out any broadcast room/ monitor waal or any truck. Always the name under the SOURCE.
As director I would like to introduce VMIX in larger productions, but at this moment
this kind of details are not available. Unfortunately.
