If the graphic were properly sized, or if there was some information of actual worth, it might not be so bad. However, what does this have to do with '3rd Party Software Development'?

Perhaps you should suggest a 'classified', or spam, section within the forum.

Rather than placing your website on the forum, why not just place an explanation of what the platform is and what it does, with a link to the site?
That, IMO, would make for a more friendly presentation, as opposed to the bandwidth require to load the graphic currently being used.

Secondly, it might be of value to many if there were an area on the forum for those who are interested in advertising, or purchasing, products to find those kind of items. It would certainly alleviate the need to wade through ads within the 'development' area. Short of that, perhaps the author might augment their thread title with 'advert' to notify those not wanting to wade through such.
