You didn't happen to have the lock on so you wouldn't accidentally close any inputs did you? If you did you can't stop the recording until you unlock. We found this out the hard way after recording a game. We were in panic mode for awhile! Haha

The stop recording button won't work if vMix is in "locked" mode.
Was the padlock icon locked in the bottom right hand corner?
