i did a large 2 day livestream with on replay so we could use replays from the day before - so one big file. i pointed it to the wrong harddrive so in the last hour of the day we were deleting stuff to create space. When i got back to the studio for the last highlights of the day the replay file had gone and all the 'clips' were black - i looked and the memory was basically maxed. would the file have been moved by accident or what im thinking - did the computer memory max out before the file was completed and therefore lost the whole file (my mistake but just curious to how it works) thank you.

Replay records each camera in 20 minute segments as MPG files in the replay folder. If the "Automatically delete prior video" checkbox is ticked in your replay settings, then older segments will be removed to free up space for the most recent segments.
If the drive only had very limited space then it is possible on the most recent 20 minutes is still available all other events on the timeline will show up as blank.

awesome thank you martin, i'll have to do some hunting - the whole thing went blank. Hopefulky that means the whole lot wasented deleted by accident. (and thank you guys so much the stream went awesome and we ended up being the biggest betted on sport at the weekend apart from one bet in the horseracing, including the fa cup final, and everyone was watching our stream, a tv company used to do all the broadcasts) literally couldnt have done it without vmix
