the only issue we're having with ip production is it relies on the clients network. Quite often we have situations where the client thinks their network is immaculate, we've had issues with packet loss and WiFi points fried by power surges (they had the entire site plugged into the box we were plugging into and left us to keep testing and frying another without telling us despite being told the cause)
I'm sure everyone's had similar things, and now they want to set up multiple tv's to watch from on the network, no ign snooping, multicast might be set up, maybe, and no QOS for us.
Could we put together the ultimate NDI list of exactly what set ups and requirements are needed for ip/ndi production, thank you

NEVER do production on someone's else network !

If this is mandatory, prior extensive study and tests are to be done

Newtek website is the reference source for all things NDI

thank you Dwan, it's looking that way - been the hardest aspect of live streaming and we have no control over it, we cant even get a network map for our it engineer if we do have an issue.

It's not complicated to setup your own network for production. Always did so, never had a problem. I only use client's infrastructure for internet access on my router's WAN port.
When it comes to streaming for a corporate's network, point is to sell IT consulting upfront and collaborate with the IT department.
