Problem here with an i5 and nvidia 1 GB computer-- This computer has been running a playlist non stop fine for a year.

Today I added a BM mini monitor downloading drivers from the website.

When I start the external output on the monitor the following happens:

1) Everything is fine for 1-3 minutes
2) All of a sudden, the monitor output goes black, and the dropped frames on the external button status shows 30 frames a second being dropped (render time is 3ms)
3) Clicking external off bring up the "do you want to stop external output" prompt which i say OK
4) The external red button never goes off and vmix immediately locks up
5) If i force close vmix I can no longer access the monitor on vMix restart because it says it is in use
6) To get it to come on again I have to restart the computer
7) Repeated 5 times or so and same thing happens

I have moved slots...

Any thoughts?

Yes! Double check your slots are not sharing resources. Also try swapping between PCIe on the chip and the CPU.Also step back through the driver revisions.

Hi!

do you ABSOLUTELY need to go via a rendering card? Can't you simply use the HDMI out on the nVidia?
I'm not answering your issue, but based on my experience, I would not advise anyone to use external rendering, HDMI out is much more reliable and with the help of a splitter you get the same result without issues (unless you're using external for a different feed than PGM)
