I have the 4k version of vMix when I load in Instant Reply as an input - it shows up as two sources (A/B). They aren't linked - as in I can move A away from B in the inputs... and I cannot for the life of me figure out what B does?

Is this just there for the PRO version and shows up for the 4k version? I just perused the 4 pages of forum posts here and don't see anything on the topic.

yeah it's a bit weird having it if you're not using 4 cam replay, I've never fully got how A/B works because we only do a 1 cam replay, but it's to with using more than a 1 cam replay and you can see the other shots in B

Replay B is a second independent Replay input. You can configure them each to a specific camera angle and switch between them. Lots of good info in the help documents. And Martin mentioned they will updating the Replay documentation and video tutorials in the latest Fun Time Live Show, since there have been so many additions to this feature recently.

it is and effectively you just don't have it enabled, so it's all there but you'll see the option to have other angles in you replay settings is greyed out to avoid all the different versions having different layouts

I wonder if I who only use one camera cam skip for example B and save some discspace. I don't know but I'm running out of discspace lately and I connect it with the A and B option on my Instant reply.
It feels like it records double up. Anyone who can decline or confirm my thoughts?

No, I don't think that is the case but I might be able to explain why you have less space on VMIX 24.

24 allows different encoding options. Go to the Replay settings UI and look and see if you are on the High, Med, or low setting.

If you click from one to another you will see your estimated record time change. The lower the codec resolution the more time you have.
