The release notes are a bit outdated, but I guess the new update is NDI 3?

What are the benefits when updating to NDI 3 when not using 4K or even HD?

NDI v3 supports multicast transmission along with optimizations and other improvements that developers can take advantage of (high precision time-stamps, meta-data only receiving, web based UI support) just to name a few enhancements.
