FINALLY, took me about 2 years but I got vmix to run on server 2008 enterprise using a virtual soundcard (no hardware soundcard is available..) through remote desktop..

Now just one issue...

when opening settings screens in VMIX where the setting screen opens another screen (such as, add input-browse) the screen keeps refreshing, making it impossible to "browse" for an image file.

Is there a setting to stop this in vmix, my very non-elegant solution right now is to minimize vmix, only reopen the child window and get one click in before vmix resurfaces the main windows and starts refreshing itself before it finishes loading the screen...
