Hi,

I'm testing the trial version and I specifically focus on the replay function of vMix. Unfortunately I experience some stammer when I slow down the replay frame speed from 100% to say 75%. The speed seems to slow down for a few frames, then it seems to go back to 100% for a few frames and then again after a few frames it plays at the new speed fine for the rest of the replay clip. I tried different setups. With and without hardware acceleration (GTX 1060 8GB), different hardware, with and without processing power consuming recording/streaming/extout etc.

Please refer to the following clip:
http://gofile.me/22q4Y/w0vVwLAvD
(available for download between 8am and 11pm CET)

I switch over from 100% to 75% at the moment the number 10 throws the ball.
Is this a known issue and can this be solved?

Kind regards,
Peter.

Are you recording replays to the c:? Is it a SSD? Does the PC you are using meet these requirements? https://www.vmix.com/hel...?SystemRequirements.html

Thank you for your response. I did not record replays to C: (SSD) in first instance but when I changed the recording location to C: it surprisingly did not make any visual difference. All replay speeds as such run fine but just the transition between speeds are not smooth. The only difference with the replay system requirements is now that my replay SSD is my startup disk and so is not a dedicated SSD for replay purposes.

As I have seen this problem to happen in different hardware setups and configurations I hesitate to spend more money on an extra SSD because i'm not so sure if this really is a file access issue. Do you still think another SSD only used for replay recording will solve all my stammer problems?

Thanks,
Peter.

Hi Peter,

Can you confirm your system specs such as CPU, graphics card and capture card the replay is recording from?
Also are you running the latest vMix 20.46?

If you prefer you can go to Settings -> About and click Send Support Report and drop an email to info@vmix.com.au with your license key and we will be able to see what is happening.

Thanks,

Martin
