Hello,

Using vMix 10.0.059 with AverMedia Dark Crystal Capture card on a Win7 machine.

I am trying to use vmix as the web cam for our GoToMeeting service. When I check the camera preferences vmix is available as an option. However, when I try to use the camera I get an error message:

"Your webcam is already in use. Please close all other applications using your webcam and try again."

Anyone have any ideas what the issue might be?

John

I am also having problems initializing vMix Video Device in GoToMeeting. Works in Google Hangouts like a gem, though.

Would be great if this worked in GoToMeeting.

Under vMix Settings -> Performance set the Output Format to YUY2.
Restart vMix and GoToMeeting, click Start for External Output in vMix and it should start working.

Hi Martin,

Used this fix success before. However, today we encountered issues again. Did something change in newer versions of vMix?

Many thanks,
John

Hi Martin,

Would you have a suggestion on this?

I am currently using 17.0.0.108 x64 with the current GoToMeeting.

GoToMeeting will not show vmix video nor external2.

It works fine with desktop skype and hangouts.

The guidance Martin offered previously is change a bit for v17.0.108.

- In Settings select Performance
- Enable Show Advanced Settings
- Select the Output Format to be YUY2

I wonder if there's any relationship between this cropping up again now and the matter of Windows 10 Anniversary update impacting webcam access in general. Could the new webcam service alter how vMix acts when emulating a webcam?

It only supports YUY2 at present, so you need to make the change described above. Or apply the registry tweak necessary to disable the new webcam service.

As described here: https://www.mgraves.org/...dows-10-webcam-strategy/

Michael, to your knowledge, is this still the process to follow when using vMix to create a virtual camera for use with GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar?

Would I need to change the advanced setting of the Output Format back after finished with GoToMeeting/GoToWebinar?

Thank you.
