Hi all,
I would like to setup a super mobile studio with my MacBook 2017 (i7 2,4ghz, Radeon pro 455 -2048MB, Intel HD 530 - 1536MB)
The idea is to install bootcamp and put a Magewell Quad Hdmi or YUAN SC560N4 in a Thunderbolt 3 PCI Experess external chassis (something like THIS).
But I'm not very expert on hardware, seems that PCIe cards must be "thunderbolt 3 compatible". Nothing about this on Magewell or Yuan websites.
For HDMI I really can't see alternatives on 4 inputs on a macbook pro

Anyone has a similar setup? Someone think that can be work?

Thanks for your attention

Magewell has, on occasion (e.g. on their booth at ISE 2016) demonstrated just this - a Magewell capture card in an external Thunderbolt 3 enclosure connected to a Macbook. And there's a thread on this forum about using the Akitio TB3 enclosure, so the answer is, yes, you can expect it to work.
