I built my pc 2 years ago and it’s been working great. Yesterday it just died while I was on my computer and wouldn’t start back up. Whenever I hit the power button, nothing happens. If I flip the psu switch off and on and then try to power it on, it flickers for a split second and doesn’t work. Any idea? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. Sounds like something's blown and gone short-circuit (or close to that state). The net result is that as soon as you've switched the PSU on the resulting current draw is way too high and trips the PSU over-current protection circuit and switches it back off. It's probably something on the motherboard, but just to make sure you could unplug all the expansion cards and disconnect all the drives (and their power connectors), and even take the RAM off the motherboard, so that all you're left with is the PSU connected to the motherboard. If the PSU still won't stay on, it's the motherboard!

I had the same thing happen to me before it was my Nvidia graphics card it stopped working, so if you have a separate GPU take it out then restart your machine and see if it boots up, if it does then it is your GPU.
