I have some static cameras (above the goals at the hockey rink) where I can't control the white balance on the camera itself. So I have to use the color adjust on those two input.

Sometimes it won't recognize my color adjustmen, when using those inputs for instant replay. So the replays from those two camera angles turn out pretty bad compared to the other 2 camera angles.

And yes "use source settings" is ticked on the replay input.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there anything else to do? Does it only work before I start the recording? (actually I stopped the recording and adjusted the color and started it again, but it didn't change anything)

It is very random when color adjustments work on replay channels.

Hi,

Can you provide step by step instructions for replicating the issue as I am unable to see any issues testing this.
There are two key points to consider:

1. "Use Source Settings" will have no impact when using vMix Outputs
2. "Use Source Settings" will always use the colour adjustments from camera inputs while they are assigned to the replay, and remember
the last settings if "disconnected".

It will always follow the most recent colour adjustments for that channel over the entire replay session.
So a new replay session should always be used for a different camera and/or different lighting conditions.

Regards,

Martin

Just sent you a step by step instruction video of the problem via wetransfer.

The only think that confuses me about your explanation, is the part with "So a new replay session should always be used for a different camera and/or different lighting conditions.". Does this mean that I should load a preset with a preconfigured instant replays input? Is this the problem?

It would be annoying to always have to create a new replay input and make sure that every preconfigured shortcuts work just fine with it, instead of just loading a preset for basically the same job/production.

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

I took a look at the video and unfortunately cannot replicate the same behaviour. Something strange is happening with that preset.
If I setup 4 cameras and and enable "Use Source Settings" in Replay A, it always matches any changes I make to the
colour settings on the camera inputs. Even when reloading the preset later.

First clue might be to investigate why that second camera doesn't match since the beginning of the video. It is more yellow
than Replay A, despite having the Red, Green and Blue values all sitting at 0 at the source.

Martin

And how should I investigate? It's probably because it loads old color data for those channels, when loading the preset and won't recognize new ones.

Any idea on how to solve the problem/investigate it?

I am still having the same issues from time to time. Restarting the program, instant replay recording and stuff like that doesn't help.

Really don't know where the issue is coming from and how I could show you the problem.

Most of the time it's just one IR input that doesn't use the source settings.
