After having run my first stream using vMix lately, unfortunately, 75% of it came out mute. I notice that the VU meter for the output only appears at all when there is something to output, showing the basic grey background instead.

Perhaps we could have an empty VU meter like most edit systems have, rather than a blank hole? Something to jog the memory that there should be something there. Failing that, perhaps just a small text alert somewhere in the centre that detects when there is more than two seconds of silence on the stream and illuminates, disappearing when sound is detected again.
