Hi there

I've got 3 IP cameras coming in to VMIX via ethernet cables via an RTSP stream. Unfortunately, the picture freezes up every few seconds and I'm trying to figure out why and hopefully find a fix.

If I record the raw camera output directly via ffmpeg, the video is perfect and doesn't freeze. However, the resulting mp4 file reports that it is 24.99 fps (not 25 fps as it says in the camera's software). I have a hunch that could be the root of the freezing issue but don't know that for sure.

Does anyone have any clue what might be happening here?

I'm pretty sure the PC is up to it, but posting the specs anyway:

Intel Core i7 6700 K PC1151 Quad Core 4x4,0ghz (4x4,2ghz with Turbo Frequency)
HyperX FURY 16GB DDR4 (2400 MHz)

It seems I've found a workaround. If I run the rtsp streams through VLC and output them as NDI, I can import them into vmix and the freezing is gone.

Also works fine if I use the same RTSP address via a "VLC" stream input rather than a "RTSP" input - which saves having to run multiple vlc instances in the background.

Posting here in case it helps someone else.
