Hello
Yesterday we started testing vmix Call to use it for an mobile reporter, but we ran in to some issues / questions...
The set-up: HP laptop (I5) USB3DHCAP to capture the HDMI signal Camera - Panasonic AG-AC30EJ
The problem is this: When connected to vmix trough vmix call we cant find a way to change the audio input or video input in Chrome. In the right-upper corner of chrome there's a tiny picto that leeds to some settings for audio and video, but we can not change it.
for instance if i hook up my Shure handheld set to the camera the audio does not come allong with the HDMI signal, in stead the tiny mic in my earplugs is in use ! (this is connected to the audio ext. from the laptop so we can hear the studio)
Is there another way to sellect witch audio or video source can be used?
If i run Xmix using this settign the audio from my Shure mic comes along with the HDMI signal and everything works fine.
The second reporter has the opposite, there is audio, but no video !!
Hope someone can help..
regards Gert - Zaktindegeute

Hi
I think it's a bug in Chrome not displaying all capture devices and selecting the ones by default. You can try with Firefox.
Alternatively I strongly suggest you install vMix on your reporter's laptop. Then you have full control on your inputs (all settings for image and audio) and you can use vMix to vMix direct connections up to 1080p. Start with the 60 day trial to set it up. Then the $60 version called BasicHD vMix would be perfect for your use case.
Hope this helps Guillaume

Hi there Henny
We tried your solution already, but cant change anything.. there is no option where i can 'click' USB3HDcap for instance, juist my usual audio is visible... also tried Firefox, same problem..
@Guillaume - Can you tell me how to set up the VMIXCALL vmix <-> vmix please..?
I believe This will do the trick ;-)

I am also looking for an easy answer without using another vMix.... what I did was go to notebook device manager and disable the default webcam. The external camera will become the default cam.
