It's been noted elsewhere in the forum that, when using YouTube Live (vs YouTube Stream Now), the broadcast requires this opening workflow:
1) Click "Stream" in vMix
2) Open YouTube Live Control Room from the YouTube Live Event
3) Click "Preview" in YouTube Control Room
4) Click "Start Streaming"

These additional steps add to the many things that a producer or host already has on their plate, and would not be necessary if, for instance, clicking the "Stream" button in vMix added the prompt "Would you like the Start the Broadcast", and if indicated, set the Live Broadcast's transition state to Live (https://developers.google.com/apis-explorer/#p/youtube/v3/youtube.liveBroadcasts.transition). Also, on Ending the STream it might be possible to similarly close out the broadcast.

To go a bit further, a connection using the YouTube API in the Stream dialog would allow the user to select an existing Live Event from (or even create one on) the authenticated user's YouTube account. This has been present in a handful of alternative encoding tools for some time, and vMix is far too good not to consider adding it as well.

Necroing the thread but I don't really care. This should be supported in vMix, I really can't understand why facebook is supported but not youtube. Please, this has to be implemented!!

This comes from Youtube, not from vMix.

But Youtube has released the API's that make it possible... vMix is not using them
