Has anyone been able to use the Multi Bitrate option to stream to Dacast?

I've tried several times. It fails whether I use the Destination drop down and choose Dacast, or using Custom RTMP Server and manually entering the data.

I get this error code

Streaming
[rtmp @ 008f8220] Ignoring unsupported var reason
[rtmp @ 008f8220] Server error: Stream id: xxxxxx1 does not match
Stream Id in Connect packet: xxxxxx

It seems vMix is adding a 1 the Stream ID, which causes the ID mismatch and error.

If Use Stream 1 Quality is ticked, then the stream works. But that would seem not to be sending a multi bitrate stream.

Perhaps a Dacast issue?

You have to use the multiple stream tabs not the multi-bitrate option.

Dacast/Akamai is unique in that it requires an independent stream
key for each of the streams to work correctly.
So the steps are to setup the bitrates in the quality settings then
setup the streams under the main [1].[2] and [3] buttons with each
of the stream keys.

You may also need to increment the stream key that the daCast
page generates. i.e xxx_xxx_1@xxx and xxx_xxx_2@xxx etc.

At first when I tried your directions, the same errors occurred. The problem seem to be that I was using an old channel/stream that was setup a couple of years back.

When I tried it on a new stream, everything worked.
