We currently have a long winded way of recording MIDI events when we live switch using the ATEM, we then sync the MIDI playback with the timeline after importing and syncing all the separate shots recorded in each camera, alongside the switch output, a script then translates MIDI into shot selection events, so we can go back to the individual camera for the edit using the live switch as the starting point.

Would like some way of doing something similar, either record MIDI events to time reference, or record events such as input selections etc. Maybe output as EDL?
If we then use Vmix for the switch instead of the ATEM, we have either the Multicorder footage that can be synced on the NLE timeline or the camera footage.
