I downloaded the vMix2011 beta3 and installed it on Win7-32 Ultimate. Start up gave error "Graphics hardware is not supported. DirectX 9 compatible hardware required".
I installed it on WinXP Pro SP3, and it worked fine.
The previous release prior to the release of beta 3 worked fine on Win7-32 Ultimate.
Thank you.
Sincere.

Hi Michael,
Do you have the latest video drivers installed on the Windows 7 system? Also, what graphics card is it running? There was a small change in Beta 3 to prevent vMix starting up with incompatible drivers as they were causing stability issues.
If updating drivers does not work, click the Send Error Report button when the error message appears.

Admin,
I bought an used Dell Latitude D620. I run "msinfo32" to display system information. The video is "Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset". I boot the laptop into BIOS, it said "Intel 945M Graphics" and "Video Memory = 8 MB". Under Windows, it reports "256M video memory". So, Windows may allocate RAM for the additional video memory.
I understand that my laptop is low end. If you think you could allow some switch in the vmix configuration file to allow "low end laptop", then I would be appreciated. But if the additional code may affect the vMix, then I still can use vMix ver. 8 until I can get better hardware!
Thank you for the vMix! It is great program!
Regards,
Michael.

For low end video hardware I recommend sticking with Windows XP as the low end hardware support of vMix is currently focused on XP.
