Hi all,
I have a quick question about the functionality with adding SWF files to the sources.

I have developed a custom scoreboard system with AS3/Flash, and it has a build-in animation in the beginning. When I introduce it to the sources, it seems to start the first time, but it won't get restarted when I add it as an overlay, it keeps running the animation without restarting. I see there are the options to reload or restart the file, but those don't appear to work as expected. What I would like is that when I switch on the SWF as overlay, it would restart so that I can see the build-in animation on air.

Any suggestions?

BR,

AmbotZ has been suggesting better flash integration into vMix here:
http://forums.vmix.com.a....aspx?g=posts&t=1139
But in the meantime has been developing his own controller which looks very promising. It may mean re-jigging your swf files to accommodate the controller, but that is probably not too complex. Let's hope he shares his product or Martin develops something soon.

You have to build you own "reset" in the beginning of the swf, (remove all children, google it), because what vmix does when you hit the shortcut for "restart" it is the same as hitting rewind and play in flashplayer (great way to test it when creating the swf's).
If i resuse a swf, I just add one frame in the beginning that contains the "reset".
Works great for me.

jip,

SWF input responds to mouse click, you can add invisible button in your flash movie to handle replay/restart of animation,
you can also divide the flash movie into 2, 3 or 4 equal parts to accommodate additional control buttons.
