Hi Everyone,

Sorry if this has been requested or discussed before, however after some searching I haven't been able to find much info on this.

I am fairly new to vMix, as we are forced by a client to use their Wirecast system for streaming. I am however trying to setup vMix to send a scoreboard over NDI to Wirecast, since it has horrible internal scoreboards. I have most of my baseball scoreboard working, except for setting a keyboard shortcut to turn on/off the images for the bases. I have set the opacity of them in the Title Designer to 0 so they do not show up, however I cannot find a function to enable them or show/hide them. Is this possible at the moment? If so, what function would be used for this? Any alternatives?

Thanks
Argo82

Not sure if you use a MIDI board for all of your vmix shortcuts or not (that is the only way I do it). But a last resort would be to have the images you need to display and set them as an overlay. You can use triggers to bring them up as an overlay with the scoreboard or have On/Off shortcuts assigned to your MIDI board (or number pad on keyboard). Just an idea.

Hi

you can do this using shortcuts to SetImage command in your xaml title. Setting a null value to SetImage hides it, setting a path shows it.

I do this and have this explained in here, where I demonstrate this when using vMix UTC as a controller for titles :

Hope this helps

Thanks very much to everyone. I will definitely look more closely at the vMixUTC when things settle down here. I assumed SetImage would give me what I was looking for, but it worked a bit differently to how I was thinking. Once I changed to opacity back on the base graphics and set SetImage to path/filename everything is now working. Many Thanks!

At the moment, as we are forced to use a Wirecast system provided by a client, I decided to try setting up vMIX just for graphics/scoreboards from a slightly older laptop (older generation i5/i7) being fed into Wirecast over NDI, since their scoreboard and graphics options are very minimal, not even a clock!. We will be controlling it via a keyboard and an older X-Keys controller. vMix seems to do everything we need in this. We have been looking at other paid graphics programs that offer a lot more details, but most of which we cannot implement on a regular basis or justify the cost of. Also, using vMIX in some form on a regular basis will help our crew get comfortable with it and hopefully encourage our client to switch as well.

Many Thanks
