Is anyone having issues streaming to FB and YouTube or others at the same time? It errors out saying I can not stream to 2 services when using FB
I just did the update to 19.53

** Just read VMix log and it says they updated FB API to meet their requirements. Poor decision on FB part. Why should they care if we want to stream to 2 different platforms. If anyone knows a workaround let me know**

I also suffered from this error, there is no way to fix it, in addition to using RTMP server :(

A couple workarounds come to mind....

Use an external streamer (obs running on the same pc as vmix) to stream to the 2nd location via vmix external.

Or run a 2nd instance of vmix taking an ndi program feed from the first and stream that to the 2nd location. 2nd instance could be on the same pc or another pc on the same network.

Its my understanding that using facebook as a custom RTMP server will prevent this error.

There are no issues if you use custom RTMP with Facebook as only requires this if using their API (automated connection where you can choose the page etc) This doesn't affect terms of condition of using Facebook live. Professional producers are advised and recommended to use the custom RTMP.
I have tested and confirmed.

To get custom rtmp > Go to Publishing tools of your page and then video library there is button called live. this open a pop up window with the streamkey > after updating vmix click next on the facebook window (while also clicking stream button in vmix to begin streaming. > you will need see a preview video in Facebook that you can then publish and enter title etc Using this method also allow you to go live when your ready after you know the stream is has been working well eg standby

Thanks for the reply's. So I am assuming we would have to get the custom stream key every time we want to stream ?

Save on the load on your PC by encoding two streams and use a service like joicaster.co (Switchboard)

We are currently testing their new cloud service and some exciting things coming from switchboard

We were doing it before the recent update and never had any issues with streaming to 2 services. I will take a look at what you suggested though. Thanks
