What are the 1,2,3,4 buttons under FTB button - Not in manual

I have the latest vMix 19 and I browsed through the manual but found no mention of the set of [1][2][3][4] buttons under FTB & Fade Bar (Just like the overlay buttons from the input area, but up under FTB instead). It's also not in the screengrabs of the interface on the manual.
What do these buttons do? Is this a way to bring titles up without having to go to the titles bin? Any explanation would be appreciated (or better yet a link to some documentation that I've missed in my search).

From the vMix 19 changelog: Quote:19.0.0.46
* NEW Overlay buttons added below transition buttons in vMix to show any active overlay channels.
These buttons can also be used to transition in the last used input on a particular channel.
If users prefer not to see these buttons they can be hidden from Settings -> Options
