Birddog won the race. Looking forward to trying the Spark as well. So far with about 4-5 hours of running the Birddog in a test environment seems good, of course some of the minor features will be coming via firmware updates.

Only issue so far is matching so Camera is 1080i50, Birddog is 1080i50 and Vmix is 1080i50. If video is a little choppy/sluggish there might be some frame rate conversion going on. There might be work to be done in that area.

Being a Magewell users I'm used to that side of things just working without any thought. I often run different cameras at different frame rates vs the frame rate of the Vmix project basically because I have a mismatch of cameras and computer screens I capture.

I'll have to plug the SDI into the Birddog and the HDMI into the Spark (I ordered the HDMI) and play some footage from my XA25 and put the recordings online when I have both side by side.
