Hello! I'm new to Vmix. I have two trial copies on 19.0.047 installed on two Windows 10 machines on the same network. On one machine, adding the NDI input to the mixer works fine. On the other, it doesn't. I am able to see the various preview windows correctly when I goto Add Input > NDI, but as soon as I add the selection as an input, it just shows up as black. Clicking the settings for that input shows it as a 32x32 size input, which it should not be.
Any thoughts would be appreciated, thank you.

Have you tried using NDI Monitor included with NDI tools to see if it works?
Have you verified that your network is running at Gigabit speed?
Any firewalls in place? Or tried turning them off?

Thanks Kane. Windows Firewall was on. I turned it off, still didn't work.
I just installed the tool set and tried the monitor. I was able to view the feeds no problem with the NDI monitor, but it still does not work in Vmix.
Any other suggestions?

Two of those images show previews - the first one does not show a preview, so be sure to click it - you can see the NDI feeds show up fine in the Add Input dialog box.

The machine that is working properly is an eight-core 4GHz AMD FX 8350 with an NVIDIA GT 730 graphics card.
The other machine is Xeon E3-1220 3.1 GHz with whatever the built-in graphics chipset on the board is.
Both have 32GB of RAM.
How detailed do you want the specs?
Thank you!

Do you think putting a dedicated graphics card in the machine would help?
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help!

NDI on AMD CPU seem to cause issues to many users. This has been discussed on the forum before.

The problem is on the Xeon, not the AMD.

Turn off the firewall on both machines and retest. This is typically a firewall issue.

@ FTL_Ian
Do you have any more details on the integrated graphics chipset on that system?

Those suggestions did not help. Network is private, discoverable, no firewall, media sharing is on. The strange thing is the previews show fine under the add input options when I choose NDI - I see the whole array of choices just fine there. But as soon as I add the input to the mixer, it is black. I attached a pic of this above, but it didn't embed it probably due to its size. If you didn't see it, scroll up for the link to 2017-05-30_1154.png I also installed Vmix on my laptop and tested adding the same NDI feed there, and it worked fine. So the issue is definitely with just this one computer.

Check the logs in the computer's Documents\vMixStorage\logs as there might be an error in there giving further information.
Note that you will definitely need to install a graphics card on the system, the built in server graphics is for basic console use and will not work with vMix properly, so you won't get far even if this issue is resolved unfortunately.

Checked the logs and there were what appeared to be Direct3D errors, so I tossed in an old Radeon graphics card. Now it's working fine. Consider this solved. Thanks for all the help.
Definitely planning to buy vmix - it's been great so far.
