Hi All,

I have recently had to suspend a forum user from vMix forums.
I've never had to do this before (besides obvious spam) so I thought I would provide an explanation here for the benefit of other members.

First of all, we have very open discussion policy on the vMix Forums.
This means you are free to discuss the pros and cons of vMix and even compare it to competitor products and features.

The only requirement I have is we keep discussions civil and of course legal.

In this instance a forum member submitted a post suggesting a few features and mentioned
what was available in other products. This on its own is perfectly fine and normal.
What was concerning to me is this user has been posting videos on YouTube with copies of vMix that are clearly unlicensed ("cracked").

If someone uses unlicensed software they lose the privilege of being able to suggest new features or receive support of any kind.
Therefore I have suspended the account.

Regards,

Martin

Using pirated software in itself is bullshit. But the audacity to ask for support while demonstrating that one hasn't even paid for the product leaves me speechless.

I cannot imagine someone stealing asking for support..

You did absolutely the right thing Martin.

If possible, can you write a code that can flood whoever is using a crack version stream or PC with whatever trojans that can disrupt the usage?

Rottimmy
