Hello,

New vmix, ptz, and for that matter video equipment user. We are trying to use our PTZ camera with VMIX to record and stream live to Facebook our church services. Our PTZ Camera puts out 2 different streams, #1 at 1920x1080 resolution and #2 at 720x480 resolution. I can get #2 in vmix and everything works. When i try to use #1 I get "video error". It looks like it is about to work and then video error. I am adding the streams under stream as rtsp://192.168.0.200:554/1

Any help yall can give is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi and welcome to the vMix community

My guess is you are trying to mix 2 different aspect ratios: 1920x1080 is 16:9 but 720x480 is not. (Should be something like 720x400)

Btw for vMix you don't need to output 2 RTSP streams from your PTZ at the same time. Focus on 1920x1080 with a good bitrate (> 8 Mbits).
If you really need a 2nd stream, make sure to select a 16:9 resolution like 640x360 or 1280x720 for example.

Keep us posted and if I did not find out what the issue is, please give us more technical details about your setup

Guillaume
