Hey, I am doing research but I am not finding how to import my own custom animated lower thirds, I know I can render all the details out with the video file in after effects, but I was hoping for a way to render out the blank animated lower third and then add the text inside of vMix, is that even possible? =)

hey doggy,
I do all of my animations inside of adobe after effects, so for instance, I want to create a lower third design without any text, thereby by allowing me to add text onto it later.
I want to know how I can do that inside of vmix.
How can I bring in the animation into vmix and then add the text there, is that possible?

To everyone in here, you can do this in multiple ways but I think the easiest is to pre-render your 3D effects in After Effects and then overlay animated text on top of it using blend to make a vmix title. Then you can set the title using data sources and an excel spreadsheet. This is my example from an eSports twitch clip, https://clips.twitch.tv/GiftedSmoothSageKappaRossAdobe After Effects Microsoft Expressions Blend 3 <------- NOT 4!! NOTE: I do mine in 1080P, but I have PCI-E SSDs and can load the AVI at the over 1GB/s it requires, which means it doesn't need to be decoded which means it uses very little CPU. Using .Mov with alpha uses too much CPU and the live rendering of the text doesn't happen in real time which means it will fall behind and get out of sync. AN EXAMPLE OF BEING OUT OF SYNC: https://clips.twitch.tv/...ulWealthyLettucePraiseIt

I couldn't find one as it relates to vmix Hi, Blend is a visual editor, it is actually really simple. Follow this video for a start, after that it is pretty intuitive but this basically gets you a blank slate. Also I did some edits on the last post, Good luck!

https://m.youtube.com/wa...LB0&feature=youtu.beAll team intros, lineups, scorebug and banner adverts created in microsoft visual studio 2013 Blend. The new versions 2015 don't have the psd and illustrator import tools that can bring in the layers which then can animate for vmix using xaml. All graffics are using data sources and pulled from my web cms via xml. Just change the game ID update teams data for logos, players, backgrounds and pretty much every thing on screen is from cms. Scorebug and production controlled by Vmix UTC

the easiest way is to render out sequence as a MOV with PNG as codec , don't forget the set RGB+Alpha then use plane text title and adjust to size and position. you can use triggers to activate text over animation once it gets to point of text needing to be overlayed setting the delay for best timing
