I can't record without getting the error:

Quote:
StartRecording
Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

I have reinstalled NVidia driver and no change.

Could this be related to my issue I had last month? (https://forums.vmix.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=37346#post37346)

I'm running Windows version 1703 - that update is for 1607.

The previous thread I linked - it made me copy a file - that KB article no longer has those instructions - can you please advise how to change it back?

Hi,

Do you have the final public release of 1703 or the insiders preview?
This should have been fixed in the most recent release versions of Windows update.

If it is still occurring on a release version of windows, make sure CompPkgSup.dll is deleted from C: \ Program Files (x86) \ vMix \ x64

Regards,

Martin

Thanks: 4 times
I've been getting this error frequently lately when trying to save presets (not recording). What could be causing this even though it's supposedly fixed?
