I was wondering if anyone out there could suggest a great, reasonably price wireless video hdmi transmitter for my video camcorder that could be utilized via the NDI/Desktop Capture that Vmix offers, I would like to live streaming without having my camcorder wired to the laptop leaving me limited mobility to walk around my studio.

I did search and call a few companies, but for some reason they kept telling me that there were no such transmitter only those that would send videos to other tv's.

Hi!

what you would like to do is not possible.
You can get a HDMI Wireless Tx/Rx package but it has to be plugged to a monitor, which means it is not usable for a Desktop Capture (the monitor cannot be plugged to a computer at the same time).

What you could do is plug the receiver to a capture card... or a HDMI usb dongle

Check this : https://www.amazon.com/s...d-keywords=wireless+HDMI

Many cheap chinese solutions on the market.

Richard Gatarski uses the Nyrius ARIES model : https://forums.vmix.com/...aspx?g=posts&t=10684

I sometimes use models from Teradek : https://teradek.com/collections/bolt-family

In between there is also things like that : https://www.amazon.com/I...ion-System/dp/B00DMRSS84

Amimon connex mini is a good one. There are some add ons, which put it close to the terradek stuff:

http://cheesycam.com/cam...ss-hd-video-transmitter/

All the good ones are based on an amimon chipset anyway, just different antenna configurations.

The Amimon Connex stuff is made for drones, but I have used it as a roving sideline camera at football games and as a wireless transmitter from a boat (over 1800 ft). The only drawback is these units don't transmit audio, only video.

Couldn't you do that with an Android phone and vMix Call?

If I wanted to use my phone and Vmix Call, I wouldn't be asking about a wireless transmitter, but thanks for your input.

I was simply making a suggestion on how you could accomplish the task. If the roaming around a small area was the thing you wanted to accomplish, then a less costly tool/method might be of interest.

I have a Paralink Triton. It should work well at extremely short distances such as roaming around a studio.

I am doing something a bit more advance, that's why I am looking for a wireless transmitter. But I thank you so much for your suggestion, it is a good an option, just not an option for what I am going to do.

Hello,

I also use a Cerevo LiveShell 2
So I can use rtsp in the VMix Stream - StreamType - RTSP over UTP.
Either with WLAN or Ethernet.
https://www.bhphotovideo...ll_2_wireless_video.html

I also use 2 Paralinx Triton.
https://www.paralinx.net...e/paralinx-triton-system

But for video radio you need also Caprure Cards:
For notebooks:
https://www.bhphotovideo...U_Intensity_Shuttle.html

For PC to example:
https://www.bhphotovideo...4k_intensity_pro_4k.html
or
https://www.bhphotovideo...klink_mini_recorder.html

There are still many.

This is not my opinion:

Thank you for your input. After researching late last night and weighing the pros & cons (prices and specs). I have went on ahead and purchased the Nyris... I'll see how it works and if not, then I'll try other options.

Hello Guilluame. The your info helped me out a lot. I went with the Nyrius Aries Model and it worked, I did have to get a an external battery for the transmitter going into the Camera, but it worked flawlessly and no latency. Thank you again!

GoGo,
Glad to hear you got it working! Which Nyrius model did you go ahead with? And how long distance have you tried it with, As Guilla wrote we have the Nyrius Pro, but in this topic the Nyrius Prime model is also mentioned. On a side note we have the IDX CW-1 as well. In our experience it sometimes works better than the Nyrius Pro, but sometimes it is the other way around.
